Educational exhibition in Colombo, Sri-Lanka

On the 12th-13th of September the educational exhibition “Study in Russia-2008” was held by Russian Cultural Centre conjointly with RACUS-LANKA organization in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The exhibition was organized on the basis of Russian Cultural Centre and was attended by Mr. B. Ramanayake, CEO of Russian Cultural Centre, Mr. Dhalia Dharmasena, President of Federation of Sri Lanka Graduates from Socialist countries, Mr. Ayrat Akhmetov, Director of Russian Centre in Colombo, Mr. Prasath De Silva, Managing director of RACUS-LANKA organization and Ms. Liyena from the Embassy of Russian Federation in Sri Lanka. On the opening of the exhibition on 12th of September Mr. Ayrat Akhmetov delivered a speech introducing RACUS organization - organization carrying out on the basis of outsourcing the functions of the international departments of the higher state educational establishments of the Russian Federation, it’s history and role in Russian Cultural Centre. The exhibition was attended by most influential newspapers in Sri Lanka: Sunday Observer, Sunday Times and Veerakesari. More than 70 school graduates and their parents attended the exhibition during the two days. As usual, most popular specialities were Medicine, that is conducted in Russian State Universities both in Russian and English mediums, Aviation and Piloting, Computer Technologies.
The visitors gained detailed information about the Russian system of education, terms of admission to Russian Universities, the range of specialities that are available there. All interested candidates can get the further consultations and apply for education in Russian universities at Russian Cultural Centre in Colombo.
