Tambov State Technical University was founded in 1958. In 1965, the University released its first graduates, first-rate engineers. You may apply to a variety of courses to receive Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) and Master’s Degree (2 years), or Specialist’s Qualification (5 years). For example, Professors from the USA and Canada give lectures on some burning or problematic issues of science and technology; TSTU and universities of Britain and Germany exchange students; international conferences are held in Tambov; the University is running a number of programs in cooperation with universities of Germany, Denmark, China, Switzerland and other countries. There are over 7 thousand students at the University coming from about 30 countris of Asia, Near and Middle East, Africa, Europe and America. All international students are guaranteed to be accommodated in comfortable student hostels, where they share a room with one or two fellow-students. The hostels have a kitchen on each floor, where you can cook the meals you like, an internet cafe, and reading rooms. Students can go to the university gym, fitness center, or swimming-pool. Upon successful completion of any Russian state university, the graduate gets higher education degree of Russian national standard indicating speciality and qualification. The graduate also gets EUROPEAN APPENDIX to the degree, which allows to apply for a prestigious job or continue education in 45 European countries signed up to the Bologna convention on the Recognition of Qualifications Concerning Higher Education.

Upon the initial arrival to the University, the student pays a 50 EURO registration fee for processing registration on the territory of Russia and multiple entry-exit visa in the passport-visa service of Tambov. 
Course duration (academic years): 
4 years – Bachelor’s Degree; 
2 years – Master’s Degree;
5 years – Specialist’s Degree/Degree in Enginering; 
3 years – Postgraduate studies.

During the initial registration procedure the student pays a 200 EURO entrance fee to cover the expenses on making up the official invitation, sending the original letter of invitation and other documents via Express Mail, meeting the student at the international airport in Moscow, transferring him/her to the railway station in Moscow, meeting the student at the Tambov railway station and seeing him/her to the university, drawing up documents for university admission, university registration fee, etc. This sum does not cover the air ticket costs.
Food expenses are 150 EURO per month. On first entering the Russian Federation the student should have about 400 EURO to buy some basic necessities and personal things (clothes, dishes, electrical equipment, etc.).
